Friday Dec. 8, 2006 Ladytron will perform at Hailey’s in Denton, Texas. Also performing are Dreamtiger and The Burning Hotels. It would be safe to say that this is going to be a massive party, so you will want to arrive early!! Hailey’s says no cover for the night which is hard to believe and I found the flyer (above) which states tickets are available through camelsmokes.com—-and you have to sign up first…and have a login ID and password and all that jazz. The site is not working properly at this time but when I find out about tickets, I will pass the info along. You can also get help finding tickets by calling 1-866-988-8800—which sends you to your local camel rep. So basically this place is going to be smokin!!

British synth-pop enthusiasts Ladytron creates pulsing, bass-driven, hedonistic electro with seductive female vocals and industrial dance overtones. Ladytron live is an experience sans samplers, reimagined with live drums, guitars and vintage Korg synthesizers.
These buzzy glam rock fashion plates came together in a jet-set miracle in mid-1998. Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu, who lurk in the background playing rhythm boxes and keyboards in the band, settled in Liverpool after a spate of DJ work in Japan and world travel, including a train trip in Bulgaria where they met vocalist Mira Aroyo. So it comes as a bit of a rare treat to find that Liverpool-based boy / girl four-piece Ladytron have reached this mythical milestone with ‘Witching Hour’, their best album yet, and one that still fizzes and sparks with the band’s own idiosyncratic charms.
CSS’s (Cansei de Ser Sexy) presents cascading sheets of Brazilian dance-pop frenzy, which you don’t want to miss.
