MFA offers free shows to anyone willing to volunteer to help mobilize voters. MFA sends the materials (flyers, stickers, voter registration forms) and the volunteers get a free show and a chance to get a positive political message to fellow fans.

As a Volunteer you go to the show, register some voters, talk to folks about what MFA is doing (building a whole new community to fix politics), they get excited and the whole thing keeps growing. One of the biggest problems is that the younger generation doesn’t get interested in politics, this a great way to raise awareness. Young people are the future and they should be involved in the decisions that are going to affect their lives. Here is a link to Free Shows you can attend if you sign up to volunteer. In Texas there are volunteer spots available for:

  • Oct 24 The Decemberists Austin, TX @ Stubb’s
  • Oct 25 The Decemberists Dallas, TX @ Gypsy Ballroom
