Modern ‘til Midnight

Mark Time at the Modern

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is located at 3200 Darnell Street.

Telephone: 817-738-9215     Toll Free: 1-866-824-5566

October 20, 6 pm–midnight
Admission is $10; free for Modern members

David Elliott, co-curator of Hiroshi Sugimoto: End of Time, notes that Sugimoto engages time as “a moment or a continuum, a line or a loop.” Join us for Modern ‘til Midnight and make time for something new! Enjoy extended hours, live music, special gallery activities, late-night shopping, and late-night fare from Café Modern as we celebrate after hours.

Special Gallery Activities

Mark time with a variety of hands-on gallery activities and events.

Trace time through the Modern’s permanent collection and special exhibitions with focus tours and treasure hunts.

Investigate Sugimoto’s personal engagement with time through a special late-night tour of the artist’s black-and-white photographs, which probe our notions of memory, art, and reality.

Film Programs

Tickets are $7.50; $5.50 for Modern members.
Screenings at 6 and 8 pm

View the first of two films in the series Viva Pedro!, a retrospective featuring eight of Academy Award-winning director Pedro Almodóvar’s greatest films

Live Music

Beat time to the sounds of

Stumptone :: 8:30pm

Dove Hunter :: 9:30pm

Octopus Project ::10:30pm

The Octopus Project has created a unique sound perhaps best described as “ambidextrous equipment failure junk-tronica,” merging the experimentation of progressive post-rock, the blips and bleeps of electronica, and the raw, human ROCK of rock.
